How We Collect Your Personal Information

We collect information from you in a variety of ways when you use our Services. Where possible, we collect personal information directly from you, such as when you make contact us.

Like many other websites, we also use Cookies to understand your usage of this website and to improve its contents. A “Cookie” is a text file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other Internet-connected devices to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser. Cookies make it more convenient as you use our website. For example, the information provided through Cookies is used to recognize you as a previous user of the website to offer personalized web page content and information for your use and to otherwise facilitate your experience. A Cookie may remain on your computer, phone or browser after the session finishes. You may choose to decline cookies if your browser permits, but doing so may affect your use of the website and your ability to access certain features of the website or engage in transactions through the website.

As explained below, we also use Google’s analytics and advertising services.

Google Analytics and Advertising

Google provides businesses with a variety of analytics and advertising services. We currently use two such services from Google: “Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting” and “Google Ads Remarketing”. [When you use our website, Google will place cookies and other tracking technologies on your browser to track and monitor your behaviour and activity while you are on our website. What follows is a brief explanation of each service, and instructions on how you can opt-out of the collection of your information by disabling Google’s cookies and other tracking technologies so that your information is not used by Google to provide us with these services, or any other businesses unrelated to us who have purchased these same services from Google.

  • Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting (“Demographics Reporting Service”)

For the Demographics Reporting Service, through the tracking technologies mentioned above Google collects the following information about visitors to our website: age, gender and interests, based on the webpages visited on our website, how visitors arrived at our website, and visitors’ approximate geographic location. Google then compiles the collected information, which we can then access.

We use the collected information from the Demographics Reporting Service to conduct market research generally, to better understand our customers, to determine the popularity of content, and the effectiveness of our advertisements. The information collected is anonymized and aggregated and is not linked to a specific individual. Google may also provide this anonymized and aggregated information to other websites that have subscribed to the Demographics Reporting Service.

  • Google Ads Remarketing (“Remarketing”)

For the Remarketing service Google collects similar information to that summarized under the Demographics Report Service above through cookies, tags and other tracking technologies such as pixels. Google also collects more detailed information about your computer, mobile phone, or other device used to access our website, including your browser type, operating system, IP address, and referring URLs/system. Google will create a marketing ID for your based on you use of our website. When you visit other websites in the Google ad network, your marketing ID will allow us to display our advertisements to you on those other sites.
